Stay Tuned ...

Just a quick update:

I have made it home and am doing well, although the transition has been harder than expected.  I am also wildly busy!  My dad and Gumby/Melissa are still here, so I am trying to balance sightseeing and hostessing with putting my life back in order.  This is also harder than expected!

Stay tuned to hear about how Pepperjack and Batteries Included saved Day 152 and 153 and how adjusting back to life in the "real world" going.

  2. I can't imagine what is going through your head as you acclimate yourself to life as it was...pre-trail. It has to be filled with an enormous sense of accomplishment, and yet a huge sadness as you leave life on the trail behind. I know this won't be your last adventure (nor should it be)and I hope you beginning planning your next one soon. It has been amazing to follow you on your journey!!

What the heck am I going to look forward to every day??? Huh?? You're just going to have to start another adventure for which us lurkers can live vicariously.

In all seriousness...CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It's been a real thrill to ride along on your journey.

  4. Wow, I almost feel like I have accomplished something since I've been along for the ride with you, so to speak. I, too, will miss your updates. Congratulations on finishing, in spite of everything!

  5. In a year or so, you'll look back and reflect on what was the most difficult part of your journey: hiking over hill and dale with painful feet and legs or transitioning back into your other life. Hang in there, Bacon Bit/Dorothy. Through it all, you have the love and support of LOTS of people. HUGS! Jean

  9. Hi Dorothy,
So glad to see you last night, successful and back here. A thought, maybe you could revisit the Last-Minute Panic lists, and update us on your feelings about those lists now. I found it interesting to re-read them after reading your updates these last months. Welcome home again. Pam
